About The Position

Leads and continues to evolve and maintain data & analytics capabilities within the Epic EHR (Cogito: Reporting Workbench, Radar, SlicerDicer) to better support data presentation, analytics & insights, and clinical & business operations. Provides strategic oversight of business intelligence and analytics capabilities. Identifies and implements emerging new ways of executing on data & analytics. Lastly, collaborates with Sutter Health and its regional affiliates' executives to plan, align, budget, design, and implement data technologies in support of Sutter Health's mission, goals, strategies, and objectives. A strategic leadership role responsible for driving data-driven decision-making across Sutter Health. This strategic position will collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior executives, and business stakeholders to provide actionable insights, guide analytics initiatives, and enhance overall business performance. They are accountable for facilitating and overseeing the creation, adoption, education, and engagement of strategic analytic products. They are responsible for providing actionable information to business partners, including senior leadership, market leadership, service line leadership, and all business partners. Please Note: While this position is listed as hybrid, regular in-office attendance is required. Candidates should be prepared to commute to the Natomas office, at minimum, 2 days a week to support team collaboration and business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Statistics, Engineering, Business Administration, , Healthcare Management, Finance, Analytics, or similar field of study
• 7 years’ experience in information management developing and implementing modern data governance programs for complex cross functional organizations, data quality initiatives, training and support for analytics and responsible use, and/or metadata management initiatives.
• 6 years of experience building data driven information technology systems.
• 5 years of progressive experience leading the implementation of data governance programs to support the business and strategic analytic needs of large enterprises.
• 5 years management experience including a demonstrated ability to effectively lead and mentor diverse teams.
• Leverage 7 years of experience in healthcare management to develop and implement business solutions for complex, cross-functional organizations.
• Drive data quality initiatives, ensuring accurate and reliable information for analytics.
• Provide training and support for analytics tools and responsible data use.
• Oversee metadata management initiatives to maintain data integrity.
• Utilize 10 plus years of experience to build and guide analytics capabilities for healthcare and/or other industries.
• Develop robust reporting frameworks, predictive models, and data visualizations.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights for senior executives, operations, and finance teams.
• 5 plus years of demonstrated strong presentation abilities, leading with confidence in challenging discussions.
• Influence business teams by presenting data-driven recommendations and strategic insights.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align analytics initiatives with organizational goals.
• Lead the implementation of programs that support the business and strategic analytic needs for multidisciplinary organizations.
• Leverage 10 years of progressive experience to drive successful adoption of analytics solutions.
