As the Global Digital and Social Media Communications Director, you will lead digital communications that engage and immerse audiences in our Mars purpose to connect and inspire people to help build the world we want tomorrow. As a Global External Communications team member, you are responsible for the vision, strategy, development, and implementation of digital communications across the Mars brand external digital ecosystem to increase Mars corporate reputation and Associate trust. This includes the Mars website strategy globally and across markets; strategy for digital, social campaigns and content for Mars corporate social media channels; paid media, advertising and paid search strategy. You lead a team with an Associate, several contractors, a cross-functional global product team for mars.com and multiple agencies. You partner with Mars business units, key reputation markets, Corporate Affairs colleagues, and functional teams (e.g., Sustainability, Inclusion & Diversity, Employer Brand, Marketing) to shape Mars digital storytelling. Additionally, you are a key team member supporting the over-arching Mars external communications strategy, collaborating with media relations, sustainability communications, crisis and the Mars brand team to deliver against the Mars Global reputation objectives. As needed, you help equip senior leaders (MLT) with their thought leadership activities on social media, where appropriate, and help protect the organization from crisis/reputation risks across digital channels.
