About The Position

We are seeking a strategic, analytical, and highly collaborative Senior Director of Commercial Strategy to drive cross-functional revenue strategy across our portfolio. This leader will partner directly with the CRO and the various revenue groups (Subscriptions, International, Advertising, and Devices) to shape an integrated commercial plan, identify cross-team opportunities, and accelerate growth through unified monetization strategies. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for a self-starter who thrives in complex environments and excels at independent, first-principles thinking. You will help us look around corners, challenge assumptions, and build the connective tissue that elevates our entire revenue organization. The US-based salary range for this position is $237,500 to $296,500. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary - therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in commercial strategy, revenue strategy, pricing, or GM-adjacent roles within high-growth consumer apps and consumer hardware.
  • Proven ownership of complex pricing and monetization strategy
  • Strong financial and analytical foundation with hands-on experience building and operating advanced models (unit economics, LTV, CAC, elasticity, TAM, sensitivity analysis) that directly inform executive decisions.
  • Deep experience partnering cross-functionally with Product, Product Marketing, Finance, Sales, Growth, and International teams to translate strategy into execution without direct authority.
  • Track record of commercializing new products or entering new markets, including building go/no-go cases, launch economics, and post-launch performance frameworks.
  • Exceptional first-principles thinker who can synthesize incomplete data, challenge assumptions, and independently develop clear points of view in ambiguous environments.
  • Strong operator mindset: comfortable moving between strategy and day-to-day performance management, KPI design, and operating cadence (QBRs, dashboards, exec reviews).
  • Executive-level communication skills with experience creating crisp narratives for senior leadership, GMs, and boards
  • Trusted advisor profile: someone who can both pressure-test plans and rally teams, balancing constructive skepticism with progress and momentum.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in globally scaled businesses preferred, with exposure to international pricing, regional market dynamics, and cross-geo coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a unified commercial strategy that integrates strategies across revenue streams.

  • Create monetization blueprints and playbooks that guide consistent revenue decision-making.

  • Act as a strategic partner to revenue teams within the QBR process, helping sharpen strategies and clarify priorities.
  • Pressure-test initiatives and assumptions to ensure we’re focusing on the highest-impact opportunities.
  • Evaluate org design and workflows to uncover efficiency gains, remove duplication, and strengthen collaboration.
  • Recommend targeted process improvements that enhance execution and effectiveness without altering the core planning cadence.

  • Establish an operating cadence: business reviews, dashboards, and performance insights.
  • Identify risks and opportunities early and guide leaders on course corrections.
  • In partnership with Product Marketing, track competitive, market, and ecosystem trends with implications for the business.
  • Deliver proactive theses and recommendations to the CRO and executive team.
  • Explore new lines of business, partnerships, and commercial innovation opportunities.
