The Senior Director, Commercial Development, MSM is responsible for revenue growth, company financial health, and relationship strength with customers. This individual will work to increase penetration into existing customer accounts. The Senior Director, Commercial Development, MSM will also be responsible for prospecting and growing CareTria’s market penetration in new accounts. The Senior Director, Commercial Development, MSM establishes and maintains key relationships within each of the assigned accounts as well as new accounts above the level of day-to-day contact, up to and including C Suite Executives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales to pharmaceutical manufacturers
  • Minimum 10 years experience in the life sciences industry
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience.
  • Experience leading sales demonstrations, presentations to existing or potential clients.
  • Proven history of sales/ revenue generation.
  • Proven history of new client acquisition.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent collaboration in a team environment.
  • Deep network of current industry contacts.
  • Highly skilled in negotiating multi-million dollar contracts.
  • Ability to effectively balance and manage both internal and client expectations.
  • Strong overall business knowledge specific to strategic planning, sales, and financial abilities.
  • Detailed knowledge of life sciences industry with focus on marketing and sample management
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Ability to accurately perform steps and follow processes related to proposal generation and statements of work.
  • Ability to design solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Ability to identify process enhancement opportunities, training needs, and client challenges.
  • Ability to adjust leadership and communication style to motivate diverse groups to achieve extraordinary results.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve all revenue targets for growth collectively as well as by service line and by customer type (new vs. existing).
  • Function as a subject matter expert in area of Marketing and Sample Management to partner with other commercial development resources to win business.
  • Identify market/customer specific needs and work to develop solutions to meet those needs.
  • Provide expertise in solution development including pricing, profitability, and positioning.
  • Accurate and timely contracting of new business.
  • Actively engage in industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to generate relationships and opportunities.
  • Ensure account strategies align with the organization’s goals.
  • Develop and implement account penetration plans for both new and existing clients.
  • Participate in client meetings to help improve client relationships as well as generate sales.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers in client organization.
  • Consult with assigned client’s key decision makers on business strategies that improve overall ROI.
  • Ensure all parties within CareTria have the proper knowledge and expectations of the client’s needs.
  • Represent the client’s perspective and business goals to promote product and solution innovation.
  • Collaborate with VP, Commercial Development on projects that are nuanced.
