About The Position

The DevOps Engineering team is responsible for aiding in the development of Geneoscopy's diagnostic test by helping manage the software infrastructure. NOTE: This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, beginning with hourly compensation during the contract period and transitioning to a salaried role upon conversion.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Possess 6+ years of DevOps experience.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP Cloud.
  • Exemplify a strong understanding of:
  • Various infrastructure code tools.
  • Cyber security practices in a hybrid cloud situation, as well as a good understanding of IAM.
  • Networking best practices and hybrid networks.
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical skills and an ability to communicate complex issues.
  • Exemplify the ability to multitask and thrive in an agile, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
  • Possess proficient verbal and written communication skills, while willing to share and receive information and ideas from all levels of the organization to achieve the desired results.
  • Possess high ethics and conduct business in the most professional manner.
  • Seek inclusiveness and collaboration but step up to responsibility, make tough decisions, and be accountable for those decisions.
  • Act as a results-oriented team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the ability to create new environments with infrastructure as a code (IAC) tool.
  • Develop automated release tools meant to allow for continuous build and release processes.
  • Serve as a liaison between application development teams and operational infrastructure teams, integrating the full software development life cycle.
  • Review application requirements and anticipate system needs to ensure systems' availability and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot code and assist with the resolution of coding issues.
  • Coordinate the release of new or revised software systems and monitor performance.
  • Manage multiple environments: development, test, stage, and production.
  • Improve cybersecurity practices, monitoring processes, CI/CD pipeline, and backup and disaster recovery processes.
  • Work closely with the software engineers to better support the laboratory team.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary groups across the organization to continually improve Geneoscopy's systems and processes.
  • Perform work with a high degree of latitude and navigate the most complex issues.
  • Exemplify expert knowledge of the subject matter.
  • Provide coaching and/or mentoring to others.
  • Other duties as assigned.
