As a Senior DevOps Engineer, on the DevOps/CloudOps Team, you need to be tactical and strategic. Your 5+ years of DevOps experience and AWS experience, combined with a minimum of 3 years experience with Infrastructure as Code (using Terraform/CloudFormation) will help set you up for success. Automation is a word you’ll hear regularly and will be a focus of this team’s responsibility now and in the future. You will work closely with Engineers and Architects to build and automate the deployment of software that fulfills business needs, current and future. Not only will you ensure the stability and security of our platform deployments in AWS, be responsible for our CI/CD pipeline, help define our software engineering practices, and help define AWS architectures for future initiatives. As a result of these responsibilities, you need to be well versed in working with continuous integration CI/CD tools, monitoring, and change management applications.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in DevOps with demonstrated skills in handling Linux systems.
4+ years hands-on experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) services like Networking, IAM Roles, RDS, Route53, ELBs, Cloudfront, etc., and IaC tools like Terraform/Cloudformation.
4+ years experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
Well versed with Helm charts and GitOps tools like ArgoCD.
Experience with scripting languages like Python and Bash.

Nice To Haves

Certified AWS Solutions Architect Professional and/or Certified Kubernetes Administrator would be a plus

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain and develop the tools and environments that keep SmartBiz cloud infrastructure and the engineering teams productive and successful.
Implement or enhance CI/CD pipelines and processes using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or other similar tools.
Manage monitoring, alert, and logging systems.
Automation of different operational processes.
Ensure availability, performance, security, and scalability of AWS production systems.
System troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms.
Provision of critical system security by leveraging industry best practices.
Automate deployment, monitoring, management, and incident response.
Scale infrastructure to meet rapidly increasing demand.
Collaborate with others on the project to brainstorm about the best way to tackle a complex technological infrastructure, security, or development problem.
