About The Position

We're seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer who excels at solving complex infrastructure challenges and building scalable systems that empower both our business and development teams. This role combines deep technical expertise in cloud infrastructure, networking, and automation with strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills. You'll be a key technical partner to our development teams while driving infrastructure modernization and operational excellence. You're someone who thrives on solving complex technical challenges while keeping the big picture in mind. You understand that great infrastructure should be invisible to users but critical to business success. You balance innovation with pragmatism, knowing when to adopt cutting-edge tools and when proven solutions are best. You're equally comfortable diving deep into network traces and explaining infrastructure decisions to stakeholders. Most importantly, you're passionate about building systems that scale and enabling developers to do their best work.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in a DevOps role, with strong understanding of modern DevOps principles and cloud-based CI/CD practices
  • Proven experience implementing and managing infrastructure-as-code at scale
  • Hands-on experience with major cloud providers (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP also valued)
  • Experience planning and executing complex migrations (servers, OS, software platforms)
  • Deep knowledge of Kubernetes with demonstrated ability to manage clusters via CLI/API
  • Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is a plus
  • Strong network debugging skills and understanding of network performance optimization
  • Experience configuring and managing network equipment including load balancers, switches, firewalls, and servers
  • Solid knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Experience with Windows Domains, Windows/Azure Active Directory, and EntraID
  • Practical experience with observability tooling such as New Relic, dash0, OpenTelemetry, or similar platforms
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
  • Experience writing scripts that interact with APIs for automation purposes
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Application development experience that informs infrastructure decisions
  • Familiarity with SOC2 compliance requirements and security best practices
  • Microsoft DevOps certification
  • Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or similar certification
  • Experience with ArgoCD and modern GitOps tooling
  • Hands-on experience with on-premises to cloud migration projects
  • Knowledge of Azure App Registrations and EntraID administration

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions that meet evolving business needs
  • Maintain, improve, and migrate legacy infrastructure to modern cloud-based platforms
  • Prepare, plan, and execute software and OS upgrades with minimal disruption
  • Enforce security principles and proactively identify and remediate security vulnerabilities
  • Partner with development teams to debug traffic and server issues, ensuring application reliability
  • Collaborate on planning and implementing new infrastructure and networking solutions
  • Build and maintain automation tools that streamline infrastructure management and reduce toil
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, networks, tools, and processes
  • Implement and manage observability solutions to ensure system health and performance
  • Troubleshoot complex network performance and connectivity issues across diverse environments
  • Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters using CLI/API interfaces
  • Solve varied technical problems with elegant, maintainable solutions
