Leadership Tomorrow is seeking an experienced fundraising professional to join our team as Senior Development Manager. This role is your chance to help build and execute the revenue strategies that will power an organization at an exciting moment in its 40+ year history. About Leadership Tomorrow Leadership Tomorrow (LT) is a community leadership organization that cultivates a network of engaged and inclusive leaders dedicated to addressing our region’s toughest challenges. Our programs help nonprofit, private, and public leaders cultivate a deeper understanding of interconnected regional issues, deepen core competencies in team leadership and cross-sector collaboration, and build a lifelong network with other leaders across Puget Sound. Requirements

  • Passion for the mission of Leadership Tomorrow and a belief that community leadership matters.
  • 4-5 years of experience in development work, or comparable nonprofit or sales/marketing roles (e.g., prospect identification and relationship building).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the proven ability to build and maintain relationships inside and outside the organization, especially with corporate partners and individual donors.
  • Experience in crafting clear, concise, and compelling funding proposals and reports to donors.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion in line with LT values.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously and to work calmly under pressure of deadlines.
  • Experience designing and executing engaging fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to collect, organize and analyze data related to donor giving.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and donor database software.
  • Interest and experience in working collaboratively with colleagues from varied backgrounds and interacting with stakeholders of diverse backgrounds, views, and positions.
  • Exercise good judgement and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including traveling to and attending events that take place in the evening or on occasional weekends, as needed around the Puget Sound.
  • Maintain punctual and regular attendance.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in annual giving or corporate foundation relation is highly preferred.
  • Experience with fundraising software and online giving platforms preferred; our team uses Neon and Constant Contact.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of approximately 20 corporate partners and prospects annually, including identification, cultivation, solicitation, data tracking, and stewardship.
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of approximately 50 donors and prospects, including identification, cultivation, solicitation, data tracking, and stewardship.
  • Serve as one of LT’s front-line fundraisers by directly engaging current and potential donors and partners with the goal of increasing financial support, major gifts, and planned gifts while building long-term relationships and meeting annual revenue targets.
  • Conduct prospect research on potential donors and provide recommendations on donor prospects.
  • Collaborate with LT team in portfolio management reviews and planning.
  • Enlist and prepare Executive Director, board members and select LT alumni in the cultivation and solicitation of donors, partners and prospects.
  • Create new ways of engaging with corporate partners and individual donors in line with their priorities.
  • Build and manage the annual development plan, including setting financial and non-financial goals and metrics and managing activities.
  • Work with the Executive Director to manage revenue projection as well as pledges and fulfillments.
  • Collaborate with LT team to establish benchmarks and regular reporting processes to measure results of giving.
  • Nurture and cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with corporate partners and individual donors.
  • Serve as an ambassador to the LT community and other partners; represent the organization at networking and community events.
  • Collaborate on planning and execution of fundraising events (3 per year) and campaigns (3 per year).
  • Engage the LT Resource Development Committee comprised of volunteers and provide updates to LT Board, as needed.
  • Contribute to LT’s customer relationship management system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of donor records.
  • Create compelling donor strategy documents, proposals, briefing memos, stewardship/cultivation reports, and other correspondence as necessary.
  • Identify and implement ways to strengthen LT’s fundraising systems, processes, and capacity.
  • Help ensure proper donor recognition in all publications and oversee accurate donor lists for those publications.
  • Support the organization in other matters as assigned, including fostering a healthy and inclusive team culture, supporting team members on other events and activities, and improving on team processes.
