About The Position

Uses sales and operations processes, tools, and methodologies to analyze, improve, and recommend demand forecasts and enhancements for high volume and complex product categories. Provides actionable data analyses to support business cases for demand plans using data-driven methods. Serves as a mentor for other individual contributors on the team.

Requirements

Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline.
Generally 5-8 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
Certification is required in some areas.

Responsibilities

Develops and executes forecasts to support the enterprise sales and operations planning process for all high volume and complex categories across all business segments and sales verticals.
Executes demand planning for specific product categories, including creating repeatable processes and developing one-off and recurring demand analytics.
Delivers the total demand forecasts.
Participates in onboarding and mentoring new associates.
Performs check-ins and determines readiness and training needs.
Leads small teams in periodic special projects that require analytics and strategy.
Measures, analyzes, and improves forecast accuracy with segment-specific corrective actions, process enhancements, and JDA system enhancements.
Communicates results and actions taken to stakeholders.
Leads a workstream that maintains forecast accuracy for one or more sales verticals.
Creates statistical forecasts.
Identifies and quantifies risks using established quantitative methods and application software.
Collaborates with various departments to incorporate the onboarding of new products, retirement of old products, customer-specific forecast requirements, regulatory changes, and promotions into the demand planning process.
Works with inventory analytics to understand the relationship of the forecast to the open-to-buy plan.
