Platform Services Operations is looking for a motivated and solution focused, hand-on Senior Database Administrator to join us to boost effectiveness and accelerate delivery flow. Based in Manassas, VA, you will be working alongside a dynamic team of Oracle DBA experts. Your team is fully responsible for the design, optimization and operations of the database environment. This DevOps team engages in the product evolution; covering software architecture, development, quality assurance, security, operations and IT infrastructure aspects. You will work in a truly international environment with main hubs across three continents. We have global reach and impact but operate fast as we are a relatively small company. What to expect in this role: Organize and control day-to-day database administration/ management activities to include:Database health data collection and analysis, database access and performance analysis. Resolve complex problems by investigating and devising solutions for database operations. May include installations, configuration, tuning and maintenance of database management. Interact with network services, database/software systems engineering and /or applications development in order to restore availability of services and/or identify root cause of complex problems. Define and implement recommendations for complex issues in the area of database management systems. Opportunity to develop yourself and others in a true DevOps agile environment.

Requirements

• Requires 5-7 years of experience in a technical operational support area
• Experience working with the following:
• Worked on Oracle Database Enterprise Edition 12.1, 12.2 and 19c.
• Partitioning and multi-tenancy options
• Exadata engineered systems and DBs hosted on RHEL systems
• DataGuard for Disaster Recovery (DR), GoldenGate for data replication
• Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)
• Database Vault for stricter access control
• Advanced analytics including Oracle R
• Knowledge of any of these CICD technology:Jenkins, Ansible, Docker
• Good knowledge of IT security, mainly in the DBA area
• University degree in computer science or related field. Or equivalent work experience.
