You will be joining the Data Science and Analytics (DSA) team at Roblox and work with Moments and Social Sharing. Moments is Roblox’s native content sharing and discovery product, enabling users to capture, share, and engage with short-form videos and screenshots from their in-experience gameplay. This product will fundamentally shift how millions of users discover, engage with, and share Roblox experiences. The Sharing domain is at the heart of this transformation, driving both user-generated content supply and social discovery, and is a key lever for platform growth, engagement, and monetization.
You will:

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience in data science, analytics, or a related field, ideally with experience in social products, content sharing, or consumer platforms.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong technical skills in SQL, Python (or R), and experience with big data frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hive).
• Experience designing and analyzing experiments, with a solid grasp of causal inference and measurement best practices.
• Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for product and engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills, with a track record of influencing product direction through data storytelling and cross-functional collaboration.
• Passion for building social products that drive meaningful connections and engagement.

• Prior work on creator ecosystems (Bonus)
• Experience with content recommendation, feed ranking, or personalization systems (Bonus)
• Familiarity with safety, moderation, or user-generated content challenges at scale. (Bonus)

Responsibilities

• Work with senior ICs to develop and execute data-driven product strategies for Moments within Social Sharing , partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and Design.
• Own and evolve the metrics, analytics, and reporting infrastructure for Moments and Sharing on engagement and monetization.
• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and dashboards to support product health monitoring and deep-dive research.
• Design and analyze experiments (A/B tests, quasi-experiments) to measure the impact of new features, ranking algorithms, and distribution changes.
• Drive insights into user behavior, content supply/demand, and the effectiveness of sharing features in driving discovery and platform values, and track success for Moments.
• Contribute to the long-term vision for social content sharing and impact to overall Roblox ecosystem, such as creator, safety, content discovery, etc.
• You will also have the opportunity to work with cross-functional social DSA and product teams, including connections, communications and communities.
