About The Position

The Senior Data & Process Automation Engineer leads the design and delivery of automated data pipelines, analytics solutions, and dashboards that provide clear visibility into operational metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs). This role partners closely with business and technical stakeholders to define measurement standards, automate data collection and transformation, and deliver executive-ready insights that drive informed decision-making and process improvement. This position blends automation engineering, data analytics, and operational excellence to reduce manual effort, improve data reliability, and enable scalable, repeatable reporting across teams.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with automation and scripting in cloud and enterprise environments
  • Proficiency with Python and PowerShell
  • Experience building API-driven integrations using REST-based services
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate or similar workflow automation platforms
  • Strong SQL skills (SQL Server / Azure SQL)
  • Experience using Azure Data Factory for data integration and orchestration
  • Working knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics or comparable cloud data warehousing solutions
  • Experience leading the design and delivery of dashboards and reports using BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), including developing scalable data models that support standardized metrics and KPIs across stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly to non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional discussions, gather requirements, and drive deliverables to completion
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into well-defined technical solutions
  • Comfortable influencing stakeholders and setting expectations in a matrixed environment
  • 5 plus; years of experience in data analytics, automation engineering, business intelligence, or a related role
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with stakeholders to define KPIs, establish reporting standards, and deliver solutions that are adopted in practice
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience integrating data from SaaS platforms and enterprise systems
  • Familiarity with data governance concepts such as data definitions, lineage, and metric consistency
  • Experience with source control, CI/CD, or automation best practices for scripts and reporting artifacts
  • Exposure to additional Microsoft automation or data tools such as Logic Apps, Azure Functions, or Dataverse
  • Background in process improvement, operational reporting, or KPI program implementation

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery with stakeholders to define business questions, KPI definitions, data requirements, and reporting standards
  • Design, build, and maintain automated workflows and pipelines to extract, transform, and compile data from multiple sources
  • Develop and maintain executive-ready dashboards and reporting solutions that support operational performance reviews and decision-making
  • Establish and maintain scalable data models and standardized metric definitions to ensure consistency across teams and reporting periods
  • Implement data quality checks and monitoring to improve accuracy, completeness, and reliability of reporting outputs
  • Translate complex data into clear insights, narratives, and recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Document data sources, transformations, automation logic, and reporting definitions to support maintainability and auditability
  • Identify opportunities to standardize and automate recurring processes, reducing manual reporting effort and cycle time
  • Influence stakeholders by recommending improvements to data capture, instrumentation, and measurement practices
  • Leverage AI-enabled capabilities within analytics and automation platforms to enhance insights, accelerate reporting, and improve the clarity and usability of dashboards and metrics
