About The Position

This position is National Remote, offering flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. However, hires in Minneapolis, Virginia, Maryland, or Washington, D.C. areas are required to work in the office for a minimum of four (4) days per week. In this role, the Senior Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for accurately entering patient information for benefits and billing into the system. This involves operating data entry devices to perform various data entry duties across functions like Claims and Network Operations. The position is full-time (40 hours/week), Monday - Friday, with employees needing flexibility to work any 8-hour shift between 7:00am – 7:00pm CST. Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs. Paid on-the-job training will be provided, with training hours also being 7:00am - 7:00pm CST, Monday - Friday.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • Experience using a computer and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Comfortable working an 8-hour shift between 7:00am and 7:00pm, Monday through Friday with possible weekends
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
  • Adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy

Responsibilities

  • Get all patient information for benefits and billing entered into the system correctly
  • Operate data entry devices to perform a variety of data entry duties across all functions including Claims and Network Operations
  • Complete some work without established procedures
  • Complete basic tasks without review by others
  • Seek supervision/guidance for higher level tasks
  • Other duties as assigned
