About The Position

Red Ventures operates dozens of digital first businesses and partners with leading brands to deepen customer relationships. Our Data Engineering team sits at the center of these efforts, designing modern, trusted data platforms that power real time decision making, AI solutions, and dynamic marketing experiences. We are hiring a Senior Data Engineer within the RV’s Client Growth and Transformation team to elevate our lakehouse architecture, lead complex data product builds, and mentor a growing team. Within RVGT, you will play a pivotal role in driving client success by designing and implementing strategic initiatives that boost customer acquisition and retention.

Requirements

  • Cloud & big data platforms - 5+ years designing and developing on AWS and Databricks data lake and lakehouse architectures
  • Programming - Expert in SQL, Python/Scala
  • Streaming - Hands on with Kafka and Spark Structured Streaming in production
  • Data modeling & warehousing - Dimensional, data vault, and real time schemas; SQL performance tuning on data warehouses, including Snowflake and Databricks SQL
  • Orchestration & DevOps - Airflow, dbt, GitHub Actions, Terraform; strong CI/CD experience
  • Governance & compliance - Familiar with CCPA/SOC 2 controls; experience using Alation, Monte Carlo or Collibra
  • Salesforce Data Cloud - Expert in designing, implementing and maintaining data solutions
  • Data architecture - System design experience for batch and real time
  • Domain experience - Prior work in consumer finance, banking or fintech
  • Soft skills - Proven ability to translate technical concepts to non technical audiences; excellent written & verbal communication

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce Data Cloud and Adobe AEP certification
  • AI experience leveraging GenAI, LLM, agentic workflows
  • Experience enabling marketing cloud activations or personalization use cases
  • Knowledge of data mesh architecture and data as a product operating models

Responsibilities

  • Design & evolve our cloud lakehouse - Own end-to-end architecture (AWS, Databricks) for both batch and streaming pipelines, balancing cost, performance, and governance.
  • Build high impact data products - Develop scalable, well tested data models that drive lifetime value, churn, and propensity insights powering RV sites and CRM activations.
  • Engineer reliable data pipelines - Implement Python/Spark jobs, Kafka/Spark Streaming flows, dbt transformations, and Airflow orchestration with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Terraform).
  • Champion data quality & observability - Embed Monte Carlo, Alation/Collibra policies, and unit/integration testing to keep our data trusted and audit-ready.
  • Enable analytics & AI - Partner with analysts, ML engineers, and GenAI teams to surface governed tables in Power BI/Tableau and to support LLM-driven agentic workflows.
  • Influence & mentor - Explain complex technical trade-offs to business stakeholders and guide mid-level engineers in best practices for distributed-systems design.
