About The Position

This role is not open to visa sponsorship or transfer of visa sponsorship including those on H1-B, F-1, OPT, STEM-OPT, or TN visa, nor is it available to work corp-to-corp. This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our South Charlotte, NC Headquarters (Tuesday through Thursday) and work fully remotely on Mondays and Fridays each week. The Red Platform team at Red Ventures is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to architect and evolve the personalization and data platform that powers experiences across our portfolio. In this role, you’ll lead technical initiatives across platform infrastructure and intelligent systems, working with Go microservices, TypeScript applications, and Python-based AI agents. You’ll drive architectural decisions, raise engineering standards, mentor other engineers, and leverage modern, AI-assisted development practices to build scalable, high-impact systems. Requirements

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership
  • Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript for both frontend and backend development
  • Strong production experience with Go (Golang) building high-performance services
  • Experience building AI agents and agentic systems using Python with frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or similar
  • Deep expertise with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
  • Proven track record of architecting and delivering complex systems at scale
  • Experience mentoring and developing other engineers
  • Strong experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Vitest, Cypress, or Playwright, including test architecture
  • Expert proficiency in version control tools like Git and collaborative development workflows
  • Experience designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills for effective cross-functional collaboration and influence
  • Strong architectural thinking and system design capabilities
  • Technical leadership mindset: Ability to drive consensus, make trade-offs, and guide technical decisions
  • Enthusiasm for modern development practices including AI-assisted coding and agentic development tools

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience leading large-scale platform migrations or infrastructure initiatives
  • Deep experience with LLM orchestration, prompt engineering, and agent architecture patterns
  • Deep experience working in AWS cloud environments with infrastructure optimization
  • Advanced experience with infrastructure as code such as Terraform at scale
  • Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or similar, including schema design and optimization
  • Experience designing and integrating with internal and external APIs
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) and ability to guide team adoption
  • Strong expertise in microservices architecture and distributed systems
  • Experience with observability platforms and performance optimization
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and message queuing systems
  • Active contributions to open source projects or technical community leadership

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical design and architecture for complex features and platform capabilities
  • Mentor and guide mid-level and junior engineers, fostering their technical growth
  • Build dynamic, responsive user interfaces with React and TypeScript
  • Develop high-performance, scalable backend APIs and services using Go (Golang)
  • Architect and build intelligent agents and agentic systems using Python and frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or similar
  • Drive architectural decisions and establish technical direction for the team
  • Own end-to-end delivery of complex features and capabilities, from design through deployment
  • Leverage agentic coding tools and AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery and enhance code quality
  • Collaborate across teams with data science, product, design, and engineering leadership to deliver quality solutions
  • Build solutions that are highly scalable, secure, and maintainable using modern best practices
  • Lead code reviews to maintain high standards, share knowledge, and elevate team capabilities
  • Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure using GitHub Actions, Terraform, and AWS
  • Establish and drive consistency through design patterns, best practices, and technical standards across TypeScript, Go, and Python codebases
  • Identify and implement opportunities to build value in the codebase: set standards, build tools, and automate work to make the team better and faster
  • Champion adoption of AI-powered development tools to enhance team productivity
  • Lead technical discussions and contribute to strategic planning
  • Be a key contributor to building a positive, innovative team culture
