Senior Data Engineer
About The Position
eShipping is building a modern, high-impact, scalable data warehouse platform processing hundreds millions of datapoints multi-tenant logistics operations. This platform will serve SaaS products, customer reporting and AI drive data interaction. In the role of Senior Data Engineer, you will design, build, and operate data pipelines and data models that support analytics, reporting, and emerging AI use cases. You will work across Python, Pandas, PySpark, Delta Lake, and relational SQL systems, contributing to a unified data platform that serving internal teams and external customers. This role is for someone who moves fast, takes ownership end-to-end, and wants to see their work directly reduce costs and increase operational efficiency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of data engineering experience with production database, datalakes, and API sources
- Strong Python — idiomatic, testable, production-quality code
- Pandas proficiency for data transformation, deduplication, and joins at scale
- PySpark for distributed processing of large freight datasets
- Delta Lake — hands-on experience with table management, compaction, time travel, and schema enforcement
- SQL fluency — complex queries, upserts, views, performance best practices
- Experience with multi-tenant data architectures and referential integrity patterns
- Ability to own and breakdown features from design through testing and production deployment
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain multiple datasources in to a DeltaLake using PySpark and other Python based libraries.
- Build and operate schemas including view interface for external systems and users
- Scale, migrate and batch load existing customer data
- Communicate progress, and ship independently breaking down problems into atomic pull requests.
