About The Position

Customer's Workplace Investing Reporting and Analytics chapter is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to play a key role in sourcing data from the Enterprise Analytical Platform on Snowflake for developing a reporting application in Power BI. This person will be self-driven and work with technical partners, and assist other developers and testers as needed. The role demands significant collaboration with members of various business and IT groups throughout the lifecycle of a typical project. Our engineering team is innovative, diverse, hardworking, and dedicated. We work in a very dynamic agile environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / similar technical subject area and 10+ years' experience
  • Extensive experience in Snowflake
  • Extensive experience in SQL
  • Extensive experience in AWS, Airflow and Python
  • Extensive experience in Data engineering, Data Modeling and Data analysis
  • Extensive experience in working in a data warehouse environment
  • Experience in Power BI
  • Working in a team of developers and analysts to deliver business value by coordinating with Architects, Analysts and Product owners
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Excellent communication skills required
  • Strong problem resolution skills required
  • Critical thinking and the ability to work in an agile environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in OBIEE/OAS is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for consistent delivery of functional software - sprint to sprint, release to release
  • Precision in software development practices and procedures
  • Participates in application-level architecture - able to drive the solution
  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to ongoing development efforts
  • Responsible for QA readiness of software work you are doing (end-to-end tests, unit tests, automation)
  • Responsible for supporting implementation of initiatives
  • Works on sophisticated assignments and often multiple phases of a project
  • Assists in developing departmental technical policies and procedures
