About The Position

This is a full-time role working within the Data Discovery and Enrichment Organization at LexisNexis. As a Senior Data Discovery and Enrichment Expert I, you will have an in-depth understanding of best practices for creating training data and evaluating output of AI models. You will use your expertise in the legal domain to create advanced insights and recommendations from these tasks that are critical to creating the best features and products for our customers. You will build the expertise to lead complex projects within the Data Discovery and Enrichment Organization. Data Discovery and Enrichment Experts are subject matter experts in the legal domain, playing a key role in leading the transformation of legal technology. They partner with data scientists, data engineers, and product managers to create cutting-edge artificial intelligence solutions with legal data. Data Discovery and Enrichment Experts provide annotation, evaluation, and feedback to their partners which are critical to the development of these solutions.

Requirements

Have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree
Have advanced professional legal experience
Be competent in advanced legal research and writing
Have experience in coaching and mentoring others
Be a natural problem solver
Have a customer-centric mindset
Be able to lead complex projects
Have an intermediate understanding of machine learning and natural language processing technologies
Have significant experience using Excel, PowerPoint, and other similar programs
Have in-depth knowledge or understanding of agile and lean methodologies

Nice To Haves

Preferred candidates will bring substantial transactional experience, with a primary emphasis on the drafting and analysis of complex transactional documents, and will demonstrate comfort working across a range of transaction types and practice areas.
