About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Data and AI Engineer. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in constructing and automating robust data pipelines on Microsoft Fabric/Azure, crucial for unifying data and supporting governed analytics and AI initiatives. Your expertise will drive strategic development and operationalization of data and AI capabilities across vital sectors. You will collaborate with multiple teams to bridge gaps in understanding of healthcare, legal, and actuarial data, ensuring the successful implementation of high-quality data solutions.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in data engineering and pipeline development.
• Proven leadership in designing scalable data platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for ETL/ELT workflows.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and orchestration tools.
• Strong understanding of DataOps practices and Git-based CI/CD.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture, APIs, and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy automated ETL/ELT pipelines in Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory.
• Implement monitoring and alerting for pipeline health and latency.
• Deliver curated, governed data products with documented SLAs and lineage.
• Collaborate with business units to validate data product requirements.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.
• Establish validation checks for schema, null values, and referential integrity.
• Apply RLS/CLS security policies to sensitive datasets.
