About The Position

This role offers an exciting opportunity to design and operationalize enterprise data and AI solutions that drive analytics and business impact. The Data and AI Engineer will build and automate high-reliability data pipelines on cloud platforms, enabling governed analytics and AI across the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams spanning healthcare, legal, and actuarial domains, ensuring data quality, compliance, and cost-efficient operations. The position emphasizes both technical expertise and collaboration, delivering scalable, secure, and optimized data products. You will implement monitoring, CI/CD workflows, and data governance practices, while developing AI-ready datasets that support actionable insights. This role provides a hybrid or remote working environment and offers a strong platform for career growth in data engineering and AI.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in data engineering, pipeline development, and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Airflow, SQL, Python, and Git-based CI/CD.
  • Strong understanding of DataOps practices, event-driven architectures, APIs, and microservices.
  • Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills for cross-functional environments.
  • Familiarity with optimizing cloud performance and costs in large-scale environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, legal, or insurance data domains is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and optimize automated ETL/ELT data pipelines in cloud environments such as Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory.
  • Ensure pipeline reliability, throughput, and performance through monitoring, alerting, and optimization techniques.
  • Deliver curated, governed data products with clear lineage, SLAs, and semantic models for analytics and AI consumption.
  • Implement DevOps practices for data workflows, including CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment, and rollback processes.
  • Establish data quality validation checks and monitor compute/storage costs to ensure efficient operations.
  • Apply security and compliance policies (RLS/CLS) and collaborate with teams to enforce governance standards.
  • Support cross-functional teams with adhoc data engineering tasks and participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives.
