Job Summary The Senior Data Analyst is a critical component in Cloud Security Services with members responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines to support security-driven initiatives creating various dashboards, KRI burndown charts and trends. The Senior Data Analyst will partner closely with other Cloud Security Service members and other Line of Business (LOB) members in CVS to distribute Security Violation Scorecards and access provisioning to Dashboards and burndown charts on Tableau. The Senior Data Analyst will coordinate with other members in data engineering to administer SQL database and development. The individual will have a background in python programming with a focus on automating repetitive tasks and data processing workflows. The Senior Data Analyst will lead and guide the team through various challenges drive operational excellence maintaining a robust DevOps pipeline to identify key risks to deliver on the tasks and goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience of steady career progression including information technology and information security experience
  • 3+ years experience working with SQL Database and Tableau Dashboard Development.
  • Demonstrated experience working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels on strategic and operational information security programs
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, Java, Scala, etc.)
  • Knowledge Software Development Lifecycle and CI/CD pipeline security concepts and technologies and automation
  • Experience with regulations, and security technologies such as data and asset protection
  • Progressive track record leading change through a rapid period of transformation
  • Ability to quickly make decisions through a combination of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment
  • Comfortable operating across large scale organization, with business stakeholders, at a rapid pace

Nice To Haves

  • Tableau and/or SQL Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • Experience in API consumption and integration
  • Hands-on experience in relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar) including schema design and query optimization
  • Familiarity with deployment best practices and Git-based workflows
  • Security Risk Analysis Procedures & Best Practices
  • Continuous learner well informed on technology trends, tools, methodologies, and models
  • Ability to manage a high degree of complexity and distill information that provides clear direction
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on mobilizing the organization to deliver the strategy
  • Ability to motivate others with high expectations to facilitate impact and pace of change
  • Agility to deal with a constantly changing business environments
  • Comfortable operating within areas of ambiguity to iterate and make progress in a consistent manner
  • Drive change across an organization while building a strong morale and culture
  • Fosters collaborative decision-making processes that deliver results and exceed expectations
  • Knowledge on Open Policy Agent (OPA) and Rego Language is a plus
  • Knowledge of object-relational mapping (ORM) and familiarity with front-end technologies (like JSON, Graph Query Language, PowerShell etc. is good to know)

Responsibilities

  • Advanced SQL DBA skills to configure manage, maintain databases.
  • Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security
  • Design and maintain data models, schemas, and database structures to support analytical and operational use cases
  • Strong knowledge of database systems, data modeling techniques, and SQL proficiency
  • Evaluate and implement data storage solutions, including relational databases, NoSQL databases, data lakes, and cloud storage services
  • Proficiency with ETL tools commonly used in data engineering (e.g., SSIS, Databricks, Azure Data Factory)
  • Build and maintain integrations with internal and external data sources and APIs
  • Implement RESTful APIs and web services for data access and consumption
  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability between different systems and platforms
  • Implement data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency
