Your opportunity We are seeking an experienced, highly collaborative Senior Data Analyst to be the analytical backbone of our finance team. This is a high-impact, hybrid role for a professional who "speaks finance." You will be the go-to data expert for senior leadership, using expert SQL skills to solve urgent, ad-hoc requests. Simultaneously, you will be the architect of our future, building robust financial dashboards in Tableau to move the organization beyond static Excel. This role is perfect for a proactive, technical analyst who wants to own the full spectrum of financial data.

Requirements

  • This role requires Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years in a data analyst, business analyst, or financial analyst role.
  • A strong understanding of core finance and accounting principles (P&L, OpEx, CapEx, accruals, journal entries). You must be able to "speak finance" and understand the questions you're being asked.
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL. You must be able to write complex, multi-table joins, aggregations, and window functions from scratch with speed and accuracy.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, a "detective" mindset, and a strong sense of data curiosity.
  • Strong experience using a BI tool (Tableau, Looker) to explore data and visualize findings.
  • A proactive, self-starting attitude with a high sense of urgency and the proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Must be physically located and working from Oregon or Georgia.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience querying data from large-scale ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite).
  • Experience with financial planning software (e.g., Anaplan)
  • Familiarity with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).
  • Scripting experience for data manipulation (e.g., Python).
  • Prior experience in a dedicated FP&A function.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key data partner to finance functional leaders and serve as the primary point of contact for ad-hoc data and analysis requests from senior finance leadership.
  • Conduct complex variance analysis and perform ad-hoc data analysis on large, complex datasets to identify the underlying drivers of business performance.
  • Develop and maintain robust, driver-based financial models to support long-range planning and scenario analysis.
  • Design, build, and maintain a suite of robust financial dashboards and reports in Tableau, moving finance reporting from static Excel sheets to automated, interactive solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive monthly and quarterly management reporting packages that provide clear, actionable insights.
  • Partner with Accounting, Finance Operations, and FP&A to improve data integrity, financial reporting accuracy, and month-end close efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with the accounting team during the month-end close process to ensure accurate accruals and financial reporting.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of existing financial planning and reporting processes.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries on the fly to extract, join, and synthesize data from multiple sources (ERP, CRM, expense systems, data warehouse).
  • Collaborate with Analytics and Data Engineering teams to define data requirements, build robust data pipelines, and ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data sources.
