About The Position

The Senior Cybersecurity Manager is a senior specialist responsible for managing all Product Safety & Security (PS&S) engineering activities for any assigned program. This position is working onsite at a Gentex facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information security roles.
  • Comprehension of TIER 1 and OEM PS&S-relevant processes and standards.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as necessary.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH).
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., ISO21434, ISO27001).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver transparent, aligned PS&S strategies, plans & progress for Gentex projects, which is accomplished by: Identifying, planning, and scheduling all PS&S tasks for existing and new programs.
  • Aligning and documenting the strategy on how planned PS&S activities will be executed.
  • Defining and tracking valuable PS& KPIs for any program.
  • Perform proactive communication, interpretation, documentation & delegation, which is accomplished by: Identifying and managing all relevant stakeholders for the planned PS&S activities.
  • Delegating the planned activities to other team members with the necessary enable- and empowerment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Problem solving - Defining a problem, determining the cause, identifying, prioritizing and selecting alternatives for a solution, and implementing a solution.
  • Knowledge Development - Continuously develop knowledge of mechanical engineering applications/tools to support Gentex business processes and culture.
  • Champion change - Understanding the need for change and helps plan for and accommodate it as creatively and positively as possible.
  • Managing complexity - Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
  • Mentoring and coaching - Providing timely guidance and feedback (both positive and constructive) to help others recognize strengths and development opportunities. Inviting tough conversations.
  • Maintaining a high level of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality with respect to company matters.
  • Complying with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace.
