Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in analyzing business and personal financial statements related to loan applications
  • 2+ years of experience in underwriting commercial loans, including commercial real estate loans
  • Ability to travel up to 10%25
  • Driver's License and access to reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Underwrite new commercial loan applications and conduct periodic reviews of existing loans
  • Prepare detailed credit underwriting memos that evaluate the credit request, the borrower, financial and credit information, sources of repayment, risks and their mitigations, collateral, and adherence to relevant regulations and policies
  • Analyze and document requests for loan modifications
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of credit policies, guidelines, procedures, regulations, and systems
  • Ensure completeness of loan files and documentation
  • Make, recommend, and present credit decisions to the credit administration and credit committee, utilizing effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Evaluate and recommend risk ratings for loans underwritten
  • Support portfolio management and monitoring activities
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with both internal and external clients
