About The Position

Every idea starts with a problem. Ours was simple: Boats are special — but they’re loud, pollutant, unreliable, and stuck in the past. Gas-powered boats dominate not because they’re great, but because no better option has existed. Until now. Arc is here to change that. We’re building 100% electric boats from the ground up — quicker, quieter, easier to maintain, and better for the water they ride on. We’re not just swapping gas for batteries. We’re rethinking every detail on the boat — from propulsion and powertrain to software and ownership model — applying first-principles engineering from aerospace and EVs to deliver a better boating experience. Electric boats haven’t taken over yet. The tech hasn’t been ready. The talent hasn’t been focused here. That’s our opportunity — and we’re moving fast. We’re looking for someone who’s fired up by our mission and ready to build. You’ll thrive here if you adapt quickly, take ownership, and care about the details. This is a full-time, on-site role at our Los Angeles headquarters. You’ll report to the Director of Marketing and work closely with a lean, high-trust team where everyone’s work matters.

Requirements

  • Experience owning brand creative at a high-growth consumer brand or agency
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative work across web, paid media, social, and print
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); bonus for After Effects or motion tools
  • Ability to move between high-level brand thinking and hands-on execution
  • Comfort with ambiguity, speed, and switching gears

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building brand systems at an early-stage startup or fast-moving consumer brand
  • Eye for content: knows what makes a great image, edit, or product shot (and isn’t afraid to get hands-on to make things better)
  • Passion for design that evokes emotion and drives action
  • Experience in EVs, outdoor, luxury, or performance-oriented consumer brands
  • Comfortable pushing at a fast but sustainable pace
  • Enthusiasm for boating and the water

Responsibilities

  • Leading the look and feel of Arc across all customer touchpoints, both physical and digital.
  • Designing across a wide range of needs: paid ads, social, web pages, event materials, and beyond.
  • Evolving Arc’s brand identity, including visual systems, tone, and templates that scale.
  • Collaborating closely with growth, social, content, and sales teams to bring campaigns and initiatives to life.
  • Switching seamlessly between high level brand thinking and hands on design execution.
