About The Position

Join the Walmart International legal team as Senior Counsel, Global Sourcing and Procurement. This is a generalist position with an emphasis on commercial contract work, and reports to the Lead Counsel, Global Sourcing and Procurement. This role requires a dynamic and business-oriented attorney with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The successful candidate will provide practical and frontline legal advice to Walmart’s Sourcing, Procurement, and Responsible Sourcing compliance teams on a wide range of matters including commercial contracts, strategic initiatives, supplier/vendor relationships, and corporate and supply chains compliance. What you'll do... Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of complex commercial agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, supply agreements, software licenses, SaaS agreements, consulting agreements, and service-level agreements. Provide frontline legal support and strategic counsel to the business on strategic initiatives, event, supplier relationships, contract structure, and risk mitigation. Partner with internal stakeholders such as intellectual property, trade, tax, antitrust, privacy, and responsible sourcing compliance to identify, assess, and mitigate legal and business risks in supplier engagements. Draft, negotiate, and operationalize responsible‑sourcing clauses, certifications, audit rights, corrective action, and termination/remediation provisions in commercial agreements. Develop and maintain standard contract templates, playbooks, and guidelines to streamline the contracting process and promote consistency. Monitor and advise on changes in laws, regulations and industry trends relevant to the business’ activities and advise on and best practices. Provide training and guidance to the Sourcing, Procurement, and Responsible Sourcing teams and internal stakeholders on contract terms and other legal issues. Review and advise on external corporate communications related to business activities and events; Partner with investigations, Global Ethics & Compliance, and the business on issues involving supplier and factory non‑compliance; Support the Lead Counsel and other attorneys on the Walmart International legal team with strategic initiatives. Requirements

  • Law degree from an accredited law school and 5 years’ experience in law.
  • License to practice law in at least one state.

Responsibilities
