Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
  • 2–6 years of accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in cost/manufacturing or project accounting
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles
  • Experience with ERP systems (Epicor, SAP, NetSuite, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, pivots, lookups, modeling)
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update standard costs, BOMs, and labor/overhead rates
  • Manage and reconcile Work-in-Progress (WIP) balances
  • Analyze margins, variances, and cost drivers
  • Support inventory valuation, cycle counts, and physical inventories
  • Partner with operations and project managers to resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and deferrals in accordance with GAAP
  • Perform monthly reconciliations (inventory, WIP, leases, prepaids, accruals)
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Assist with audit schedules and documentation
  • Support annual budgeting and rolling forecasts
  • Provide cost and WIP inputs for planning assumptions
  • Deliver variance analysis with clear commentary for leadership
  • Develop financial and operational reporting for management
  • Support ERP and data improvement initiatives
  • Participate in special projects and cross-functional improvements
