About The Position

The Senior Corporate Relations Officer at MAP International is responsible for driving the acquisition of essential health care products and financial support to advance the MAP 2030 Vision. This role focuses on high-level business development and caseload management within the pharmaceutical, medical device, over the counter (OTC), and health supply sectors. The successful candidate will be a consultative 'self-starter' capable of navigating complex corporate structures to secure Gifts-in-Kind (GIK) donations, corporate grants, and strategic partnerships.

Requirements

  • Education: 4-year bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain/Healthcare Management, Logistics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: 8–10+ years of experience in solution-based sales, healthcare marketing, account management or corporate business development.
  • Specialized Knowledge: At least 3 years of experience selling to or working with healthcare providers and a deep working knowledge of medical products distribution and wholesale market trends, as well as experience navigating internal hierarchies of Fortune 500 healthcare companies.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in navigating complex, multi-stakeholder business relationships and achieving value-based sales targets.
  • The 'Relationship First' Mindset: A master listener who can identify a partner's pain points and present MAP as the solution.
  • Self-Starter Mentality: Proven ability in sales planning, goal setting, and self-directed prospecting.
  • Advanced Communication: Mastery of both written and oral communication, with a specific talent for 'whiteboarding' solutions and listening to client needs.
  • Organizational Mastery: Exceptional project management skills to handle the complex administrative and reporting requirements of a multi-million-dollar portfolio.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in CRM management, Data Visualization tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Prospecting & Relationship Expansion
  • Sector-Specific Prospecting: Identify and target new manufacturers and distributors in the pharmaceutical, medical device, OTC, and health supply sectors.
  • Growth-Focused Caseload Management: Build and manage a portfolio of high-value accounts, transforming transactional vendors into strategic, long-term partners aligned with the MAP 2030 vision.
  • Market Share Analysis: Monitor and analyze manufacturer dynamics, including changes in ownership, new affiliations, and shifts in market share to anticipate impact on GIK opportunities.
  • Portfolio Analysis: Conduct regular reviews of attendee lists from industry events to identify high-potential prospects to meet the needs of our distribution partners.
  • Conference Presence: Represent MAP at industry-specific distributor and manufacturing conferences (e.g., HDA, NACDS) to build a robust pipeline of new leads and honor existing partners.
  • Caseload Management – Acquire GIK and Cash Donations
  • Value-Based Caseload Growth: Manage relationships with major medical manufacturers and distributors to meet and exceed ambitious yearly GIK and cash donation targets.
  • Collaborative Strategy: Conduct 'whiteboarding' and strategy sessions with donors to uncover new profit drivers, supply chain efficiencies, and opportunities for surplus product redirection.
  • Reporting and Stewardship
  • Operational Transparency: Manage all administrative tasks, including tax, receiving, and shipping reports, ensuring that the logistics of the donation are as seamless as the relationship itself.
  • Impact Storytelling: Use data visualization to demonstrate to potential and active donors how them supply chain efficiencies are being converted into life-saving medical care.
  • Proactive Stewardship: Lead regular 'touchpoint' meetings that go beyond administrative updates to include industry trend analysis, disaster relief mobilization, and long-term vision alignment.
  • Compliance & Audit Support: Coordinate with corporate partners on pre-audit reporting and communications, ensuring MAP meets the rigorous standards of global healthcare distributors.
  • Potential for future leadership, development and management of personnel on the Corporate Relations team.
  • This role will work as part of the Corporate Relations team (the CROs) and will participate in Partnership & Innovation meetings which include Short-Term Missions, MAP USA, International Programs and International Partnership teams. Interaction is also required with Marketing, Operations, Finance and Compliance.
