You in This Role You are not just filling jobs you are helping build the future of Unusual Machines.As our first full-time recruiter focused on exempt and corporate hiring, you will play a critical role in shaping the teams that power our growth. You will recruit across Supply Chain, Product, Engineering, Operations, HR, Finance, and select Sales roles while building an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience from start to finish. This role is ideal for someone who loves both recruiting and storytelling. We are looking for a recruiter who understands how to find the right person, not just the available person. Someone who believes that every candidate interaction matters, every hiring manager partnership matters, and every hire has the potential to shape the future of the company. You will have the opportunity to build recruiting processes, create a strong employment brand, and help make Unusual Machines known as one of the best places to work in Orlando. This role reports to the Senior Director of Human Resources. A Day in the Life No two days will look exactly the same, but your days may include: Meeting with hiring managers to understand open positions, ideal candidate profiles, and business needs Sourcing and engaging passive candidates for hard-to-fill roles across engineering, supply chain, operations, finance, HR, and sales Managing the full recruitment lifecycle from intake meeting through offer stage Creating compelling job descriptions and job postings that reflect our culture and brand Coaching hiring managers on interviewing best practices and ensuring a consistent, positive interview experience Building interview processes, interview questions, and scorecards where needed Partnering with Marketing to elevate our employer brand through social media and our careers page Helping create content that showcases our people, culture, growth, and mission Building relationships with universities, networking groups, and Orlando-area organizations to create future talent pipelines Managing recruiting data, reporting, and metrics such as time to fill, quality of hire, candidate experience, and hiring manager satisfaction Assisting with offer recommendations, workforce planning discussions, and onboarding coordination Traveling between local facilities as needed to meet with leaders and candidates
