About The Position

The Senior Corporate Accountant is responsible for assisting with month-end/ year-end close including account analysis and reconciliation and assisting with producing accurate and timely financial reports, including regulatory filings. Plans, develops and coordinates complex professional financial analyses and reports including variance analysis, statistical reports, and other ad-hoc financial reports. The position acts as a general accounting liaison to various departments on an assortment of complex projects, including system implementations, process designs and redesigns and financial system training. Will also provide regional accounting and financial support for joint ventures and our WV physician company (East Mountain Health Physicians).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Treasury Management required
  • 10 Years in a senior technical supervisory/lead role required
  • 10 Years in analytics, data mining, and reporting required
  • Ten years’ experience in process automation using a programming language, scripting, embedded macros, data models, batch files, or third party software required
  • Experience with complex financial reporting systems required
  • Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), in addition to hospital and health system policies required
  • Ability to execute and integrate complex financial analyses required
  • Contractual Allowance experience and reimbursement knowledge required
  • Tax and Valuation experience working in complex organizational structures required
  • Treasury Management Support - Bond Activity/Investments experience required
  • Regional and Corporate project support experience required
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, including ability to communicate effectively with non-financial audience required
  • Ability to lead assigned projects, and seeing project through to completion required
  • Excellent organizational skills required
  • Ability to develop executive summaries, and present findings in a professional and clear manner to senior management required
  • Ability to lead staff required
  • Deadline oriented and able to multi-task required

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Business, Health Administration, Finance or Accounting strongly preferred
  • CPA, CTP or other related professional certification strongly preferred
