About The Position

The Senior Coordinator of Academic Success supports the mission of the university and LHSON by coordinating the LHSON Student Success Center to support the academic success of the in-person undergraduate nursing students. They are responsible for ensuring quality academic support services, tutoring, accommodation services and other out of class student support. They coordinate academic support with faculty (and other staff) and provide academic coaching to students to enhance nursing student success.
A Bachelor’s Degree and three years of relevant experience are required. A Masters Degree and five years of experience is preferred. This position is located in Dallas, Texas.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Student Success Center
• Coordinate academic coaching to undergraduate nursing students.
• Receive academic referrals and communicate academic concerns with faculty.
• Support the Coordinator of Academic Success’ testing accommodation coordination responsibilities and serve as backup in their absence.
• Oversight and coordination of LHSON tutoring services.
• Design and implement academic workshops to promote student success and retention.
• Support Student Services activities and initiatives such as Orientation, Preview Day, etc. and support LHSON events such as faculty meetings, CPE, White Coat, and Pinning.
• Perform additional administrative and event-related duties as assigned to support the mission and operations of the School of Nursing.
