Arizona State University
1d$62,000 - $62,000

About The Position

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the W. P. Carey School of Business seek an Academic Success Coordinator to help direct the new McKenna Life Sciences, Business and Entrepreneurship (MLSBE) Program (https://mlsbe.asu.edu/) – an innovative, interdisciplinary initiative that prepares ASU students to lead at the intersection of life science, business, and entrepreneurship. Launching in fall 2026, MLSBE is designed to cultivate future biotech leaders who can seamlessly integrate scientific innovation with entrepreneurial vision. Students earn two undergraduate degrees – one in business (finance, artificial intelligence in business, or business entrepreneurship) and one in a natural science (biochemistry, biomedical sciences, medicinal chemistry, neuroscience, or data science) – as well as a certificate in entrepreneurship and innovation, all within four years. The program culminates in a senior capstone project that applies both scientific knowledge and business acumen to real-world challenges. Students benefit from immersive experiences such as Dreamscape Learn’s NeoBio and NeoChem platforms, early bridge programming, and tailored advising. They also engage with alumni and industry professionals through mentorship, networking, and applied learning opportunities, including industry site visits, internships, and corporate engagement trips to biotech hubs. Embedded within ASU’s ecosystem of innovation – including the Biodesign Institute, Phoenix Bioscience Core, and ASU Health – the MLSBE Program equips students with the skills, networks, and confidence to become transformative leaders in the biotech and entrepreneurial sectors. Under the direction of the MLSBE Program Manager and Faculty Co-Directors, the Academic Success Coordinator will support student success efforts for each cohort admitted to the MLSBE Program, utilizing a range of in-person and virtual methods, including individual advising meetings (in-person, phone, and zoom), email, and first-year seminar course instruction. The coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative success strategies designed to enhance the academic persistence, progression, and degree completion of students participating in the McKenna Life Sciences, Business and Entrepreneurship (MLSBE) Program.
