About The Position

Summary: The Senior Coordinator – Digital Content supports the Senior Manager – Digital Content and the Club’s efforts on various social media platforms, including, but not limited to Facebook, X, Instagram, and TikTok. This position also includes contributions to the Club’s social ambassador program, producing content with players, project management and analyzing social metrics and post performance.

Requirements

  • Must have a strong working knowledge of the game of baseball, including rules, scoring and jargon.

  • Experience developing and coordinating project plans. Proficient using a smartphone and laptop.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related; and a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Internet Explorer. Must have a strong working knowledge of various social networking sites and applications including X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual, Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly preferred.
  • Preferred – Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and InDesign.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated skills in video production, graphic design, typography and illustration techniques a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day maintenance of social media program, including managing content calendar, brainstorming content, scheduling posts, coordinating with other departments to ensure their goals are met, attending and covering Club events and working internally to retrieve assets for posting.
  • Craft and execute Club’s short-form content strategy, including defining strategy each season, building out and managing short-form calendar, keeping up with and executing trends, incorporating sales objectives into short-form content, and recruiting players for participation.
  • Work closely with experiential marketing to support Club’s social ambassador program, including identifying ambassadors with focuses on different platforms and cultural interests, contributing to ambassador communication, coordinating ambassador events, and identifying ambassadors for Club’s various marketing and public relations needs.
  • Coordinate with players, including building player relationships, communicating marketing and content ideas to players, coordinating and scheduling player shoots, producing player involvement for both short-form and long-form content initiatives, and relaying player feedback to Marketing department.
  • Serve as the secondary lead on social game coverage, including writing post copy, requesting and editing videos and photos, crafting graphics for both feeds and stories, and any other tasks aligned with adding content to the Club’s social media channels per the Marketing Department’s social coverage strategy.
  • Project management, specifically with a focus on design needs for content, but also contributing to video project requests by submitting forms and providing information to department’s project management team.
  • Use social analytics platforms to evaluate content performance, including identifying areas for improvement and to monitor the effectiveness of various post types and campaigns. Prepare social media status reports for internal use on a regular basis, including recaps of campaigns, sentiment analyses and more.
  • Create and post daily game graphics and other graphics as required using Adobe Photoshop and the proper social channels.
  • Monitor social media posts/comments/replies, etc. on a regular basis to understand consumer feedback, complaints and issues. Coordinate closely with other departments, as needed, to address and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist Senior Manager – Digital Content with monthly reporting, including pulling data, organizing top-performing posts and contributing to deck creation.
  • Assist the Senior Manager – Digital Content in representing the Marketing Department at cross-department meetings, including regularly presenting data, accomplishments, and concepts to staff.
  • Assist with updating content on social media sites consistently to ensure the most up-to-date messaging and the highest engagement rates.
  • Regularly review and monitor trade publications, websites, mobile sites, social media sites and mobile apps to stay up on current industry trends.
  • Proactively research and evaluate opportunities via social media for additional exposure and create a presentation outlining new and existing opportunities for corporate partnership campaigns.
  • Perform administrative tasks for the department including, but not limited to contest prize fulfillment, data entry, filing, returning phone calls, and tracking prize inventory and supplies/equipment.
