In this role, you will provide third-level controls support, resolve complex PLC-related issues, and contribute to continuous system and service improvements. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial automation or controls support
  • Strong hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation PLCs and Studio 5000
  • Experience with industrial networks such as EtherNet/IP (ControlNet / DeviceNet is a plus)
  • Ability to troubleshoot live production systems in a structured and calm manner
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
  • Willingness to participate in a compensated on-call / stand-by rotation

Responsibilities

  • Provide third-level support for complex PLC, controls, and automation incidents
  • Troubleshoot live systems using Rockwell Automation PLC platforms (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, GuardLogix) with Studio 5000 / RSLogix
  • Diagnose issues related to PLC logic, HMI/SCADA, safety systems, industrial networks, and I/O
  • Perform structured root-cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions
  • Support customers remotely via secure VPN connections
  • Travel to customer sites across North America to perform: Software deployments and upgrades, System health checks, Performance improvements and corrective actions
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and troubleshooting guides
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve tools, processes, and service delivery
