Overview: Are you a Controls Engineer with a talent for Allen-Bradley PLC systems and a drive to keep cutting-edge automated material handling solutions running smoothly? In this critical role, you'll ensure the reliability and efficiency of our systems by expertly troubleshooting, managing incidents, and optimizing performance. The first year will involve significant project work, so you must be ready to travel and work away from home for extended periods. What You'll Do: Incident Resolution & Diagnostics: Swiftly diagnose and resolve complex incidents related to automated material handling systems to minimize downtime. PLC System Expertise: Diagnose, repair, prevent, modify, maintain, and commission Allen-Bradley PLC systems. Network & Communication: Troubleshoot and optimize various bus networks, including Profibus, ASI bus, Profinet, and TCP/IP. Data Analysis: Proactively analyze log data to identify and resolve potential system issues. IT System Integration: Work proficiently with IT systems relevant to industrial automation. Technical Support: Apply your comprehensive knowledge of electromechanical and networking systems, with a strong focus on Allen-Bradley PLCs, to provide top-notch technical support. On-Site Support & Commissioning: Provide essential on-site support for troubleshooting, commissioning, and critical system maintenance during projects, peak customer periods, and system updates. Documentation & Escalation: Maintain accurate incident documentation and effectively escalate complex issues when necessary.
