Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
  • Preferred Master’s degree or JD.
  • 3-5 years of experience in contract management, preferably in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS, government contracting requirements, and commercial contract law.
  • Proven experience negotiating complex agreements with domestic and international partners.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, statements of work, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with contract management systems and Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, review, and negotiation of complex customer and supplier contracts, including fixed-price, cost-reimbursable, time-and-materials, and IDIQ arrangements.
  • Interpret contract terms and conditions, recommend alternative language, and drive negotiations to resolution.
  • Support proposal teams by developing contract strategies, preparing contract volume input, and identifying contract strategies, preparing contract volume input.
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle—from proposal through closeout—ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, regulations, and internal processes.
  • Serve as the primary contractual interface with internal teams, customers, suppliers, auditors, and government representatives.
  • Provide guidance to program management and executive leadership on contract interpretation, risk exposure, and strategic considerations.
  • Ensure safety guidelines and company safety policies are being followed
  • Consistently acts in accordance with business professionalism principles including during business hours, at company events, meetings, off-site meetings, audits, etc.
  • Consistently provides professional business communications to internal and external customers, staff, peers and company leadership
  • Ensure adherence to federal regulations, export controls (e.g., ITAR, EAR), and customer-specific requirements.
  • Lead change management initiative to adapt to evolving industry standards
  • Identify contractual, financial, schedule, and performance risks; develop recommendations for resolution.
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, supply chain, engineering, and program management to review and enforce corporate policies and compliance standards.
