About The Position

AttainX is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to lead and manage all contractual matters across the organization. This position is responsible for the full contract lifecycle—including negotiation, legal review and interpretation, compliance, and risk management—for both federal and commercial agreements. The Senior Contracts Manager will serve as AttainX’s primary authority for contract negotiation and interpretation, ensuring the company’s interests are protected while enabling business growth. This role requires legal-level contract review capability and will function as the primary internal resource for contract interpretation. Candidates must have formal legal/paralegal training and demonstrated experience performing legal contract review duties. Applicants without formal legal/paralegal training and direct legal contract review experience will not be considered.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Contracts Management, or related field.
  • 8–10 years of cradle-to-grave federal contracts management experience.
  • Paralegal certification (ABA-approved preferred), JD, or formal legal training with 5+ years supporting legal contract review (terms & conditions, liability, indemnification, limitation of liability, dispute remedies, and intellectual property).
  • Demonstrated experience drafting, redlining, negotiating, and administering contracts with minimal oversight.
  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and federal contracting compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting small business federal contractors (WOSB/EDWOSB/8(a)).
  • Experience with GSA MAS and other common federal contract types (FFP, T&M, IDIQ, BPA, CPFF)
  • Familiarity with DCAA/DCMA audits and cost allowability.
  • Experience with CLM systems, contract repositories, and legal matter management tools.
  • Advanced analytical, negotiation, and risk assessment skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle management of federal and commercial contracts, subcontracts, and related agreements from pre-award through closeout.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and administer NDAs, teaming agreements, subcontracts, modifications, and other contract documents.
  • Ensure contract strategies support business objectives while managing contractual risk.
  • Draft and negotiate core legal clauses such as indemnification, limitation of liability, dispute resolution, termination, confidentiality, assignment, and governing law.
  • Perform formal contract redlining and negotiation in alignment with company standards.
  • Provide contract interpretation guidance to leadership, program teams, and business development.
  • Maintain contract clause guidance and negotiation playbooks.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and applicable federal acquisition and subcontracting requirements.
  • Apply flow downs, reporting, and documentation requirements consistently across agreements.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and advise leadership on contract compliance impacts.
  • Maintain contract files, trackers, reporting dashboards, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Ensure contract continuity and documentation integrity throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Partner with Program Management, Finance, HR, Legal, and Business Development to support contract execution and growth objectives.
  • Support proposal development by reviewing solicitations, identifying risks, and advising on negotiation approach.
  • Provide contract summaries and recommendations to executive leadership.
