About The Position

Performs contract tasks in compliance with Cubic’s policies and processes to assist in the administration of contracts. This position typically works under close supervision and direction.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree in business, economics or accounting or equivalent.
  • Requires proficiency in oral and written communications.
  • Proficient in the use of PC and associated software.
  • Possess analytical skills necessary to administer contracts and agreements with various customers.
  • Possess interpersonal skills necessary to interact in sensitive situations dealing with U.S. and foreign agencies and commercial customers.
  • Ability to prioritize projects and work under tight deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Paralegal experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the preparation of proposals for submission to customer ensuring all portions of the proposal are accurate, complete and responsive to a particular procurement.
  • Directly and frequently interfaces with customers to receive solicitations; respond to questions; resolve problems and issues; and receive contracts.
  • Obtain and manage vendor licenses.
  • Assists in the negotiation of contracts and contract modifications with customers which normally includes terms and conditions; contract delivery schedules; pricing and performance requirements.
  • Directly and actively monitors Cubic’s performance in meeting contract requirements and reports cost, schedule, technical and program discrepancies to management.
  • Assists in the review and interpretation of contractual adjustments.
  • Notifies and actively engages Cubic’s Contracts and program management of all changes to contract requirements.
  • Takes action to close out contracts in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Assists in the preparation of non-disclosure agreements with customers and other companies.
  • Ensures compliance with departmental and company-wide contract policies and procedures so that work performed meets legal, regulatory, and contractual and company requirements.
