About The Position

The Continuous Improvements Specialist reduces waste while maintaining quality by identifying areas for improvement and leading the efforts in cross functional teams to implement those improvements.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills
  • Hands-On experience with leading continuous improvement projects and implementing lean manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and understand assembly drawings and documentation.
  • Ability to measure and analyze productivity data in order to monitor and measure results.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Electronic filing of records)
  • Must have a BS or equivalent experience in a related area

Nice To Haves

  • J-Std and/or IPC certifications preferred or the ability to obtain such certifications within an agreed upon time frame.
  • Work experience in the applicable area of manufacturing is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes lean principles to improve the operations and processes our organization by analyzing production workflows, workspace design, and resource utilization to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, or waste.
  • Collects, documents, and interprets production data to identify areas to streamline and improve productivity.
  • Develops metrics to measure and monitor key production processes and evaluates the impacts of lean principles against costs, quality, and delivery goals.
  • Educates employees about lean concepts to ensure initiatives are integrated into workflows and processes.
  • Supports supervisors and/or operators in the resolution of quality problems
  • Actively participates in quality initiatives by participating in problem solving, process improvements and performance measurements.
  • Responsible for understanding & following company, and or manufacturing guidelines/procedures
  • Responsible for product quality as defined by internal and external customers, work instructions, specifications, and procedures.
  • Responsible for following established safety rules & 6S
