About The Position

As a Senior Consultant, Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing technology projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and business stakeholders, to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technology, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing complex projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on technology projects.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, MS Project).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Candidates must be local to the Washington D.C. metro area and possess work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Management: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Team Collaboration: Lead cross-functional project teams, including developers, engineers, QA, and business analysts.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Communicate project expectations, progress, and changes to stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Technology Integration: Collaborate with technical teams to ensure that technology solutions align with business objectives.
  • Understand and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Oversee the integration of new technologies into existing systems.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans.
  • Proactively address issues and obstacles that may impact project success.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
  • Implement best practices for project management and technology integration.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
