About The Position

At BAE Systems, we’re transforming the employee experience and amplifying our workforce strategies through data-driven insights that empower our people and fuel our success. Our Workforce Analytics organization is at the forefront of this mission, delivering innovative solutions to optimize how we run the business of HR and how we strategically advise on workforce strategies and initiatives. We’re looking for a passionate Analytics Consultant to join our team, working closely with our Centers of Expertise (COEs) and business sectors to turn complex data into compelling stories that drive meaningful change. The Opportunity: Reporting to the Director of Workforce Analytics, the Senior Consultant, Workforce Analytics will be a trusted advisor to our sectors and COE’s leveraging your expertise in data engineering, visualization, and storytelling to deliver actionable insights about our workforce. You’ll dive deep into the needs of our business and COEs, serving as a subject matter expert who translates their vision into robust analytics solutions. From building scalable data pipelines to creating intuitive PowerBI and Tableau dashboards, you’ll craft narratives that empower HR leaders to make smarter, strategic decisions. This is your chance to blend technical prowess with consulting finesse, making a tangible impact on our workforce and business. We’re not looking for a data scientist or a pure data engineer – we can source or build those skills as needed. Rather, we need someone who blends data expertise with strategic consulting and advising to integrate and bring our data to life for our customers.

  • Master Data Storytelling: Craft persuasive narratives that combine data, context, and business acumen to influence HR and business leaders, ensuring insights drive decision-making.

This means continually assessing efficacy and need, project managing development and updates, and delivering effective change management and communications for your products and solutions.
  • Innovate and Improve: Stay current on people analytics trends (e.g., predictive modeling, AI-driven insights) and propose new tools or methods to enhance COE analytics capabilities.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with other analytics consultants, developers, and the COE’s to share best practices, align on priorities, and deliver cohesive solutions. Additionally, partner with our HR reporting teammates to help differentiate between true analytics requests vs. what should be reporting solutions.
  • Driving strong data governance: Partnering with domain stewards and owners to define their data, decide appropriate access controls, and enable consistent data governance experiences agnostic of whether the data is in a source system, report or analysis.
  • Build Robust Data Pipelines: Develop and maintain scalable data engineering processes using tools like Alteryx and Dataiku to ensure clean, reliable data for analysis.
