West Monroe is hiring a Senior Consultant with experience in electric and gas utility Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and associated solutions to join our Energy and Utilities Practice. What You’ll Do: Client Delivery Work as part of a project team to deliver GIS-focused solutions for electric and gas utilities, including migration and new platform implementation projects/programs. Assist in facilitating GIS-related business processes and technical requirements workshops to support the development of process maps, requirements documentation, and KPIs for operational functions (e.g., Engineering, Design, Construction/Development, Operations, Maintenance, Inventory/Supply Chain, System Planning, Asset Performance Management, etc.). Support project leadership in developing project plans, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring tasks are completed on time and with high quality. Perform hands-on analysis, documentation, and configuration tasks as part of GIS implementation and migration projects. Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and client stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. Practice Development Contribute to the Energy & Utilities consulting practice by supporting internal initiatives, such as developing templates, methodologies, and best practices. Participate in knowledge-sharing activities, such as contributing to internal knowledge repositories or assisting in the development of thought leadership materials. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Science, Geography, Environmental Science, Power Systems, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the electric/utilities industry, with a focus on GIS migration and/or implementation (preferably Esri, Schneider Electric, and/or General Electric).
  • Experience working on consulting engagements or in a client-facing role.
  • Familiarity with GIS, GWD, EAM, APM, WAM, mobility solutions, utility functions, and/or regulatory impacts at Federal and State levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Willingness and ability to travel (up to 75% annually as necessary).
