ADA Engineering, a GHD company, is currently looking for a Senior Construction Manager to join their Florida based team! This is an exciting opportunity to work on MDWASD Project S-968. This project consists of the construction of a new Electrical Distribution Building (EDB) at the North District Wastewater Treatment Plant. The new EDB will provide power to the new High Level Disinfection facility and Injection Well Pump Station (IWPS) substations. As Senior Construction Manager, you will oversee activities associated with the new project and will work closely with MDWASD which include: drive safety culture and efficient project delivery; oversee schedule, cost, risk, and change management; act as primary liaison with all stakeholders; lead construction teams through mobilization to closeout, ensuring compliance, quality, and timely completion; monitor progress, manage claims and payments, and resolve issues. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field of study
  • At least 20 years of leadership experience on major construction projects; at least 5 years managing $50M+ project(s)
  • Experience with water treatment plant projects
  • Excellent working knowledge of construction scheduling; Primavera P6 in particular.
  • Must be proficient with web-based construction document management platforms such as Trimble

Nice To Haves

  • PE license and/or CCM preferred

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and review performance against health, safety, and environment (HSE) key performance indicators (KPIs) and patterns of behavior within the area of responsibility. Take action to improve performance and to resolve noncompliance with the organization's HSE policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions.
  • Oversee an area of a construction project with guidance from senior colleagues.
  • Communicate the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and project plan within the team
  • Manage important client relationships with guidance from senior colleagues, or oversee relationship management with a group of more transactional clients and customers.
