About The Position

LIVIC Civil is growing, and we're looking for a full-time Senior Construction Manager. This role is primarily focused on providing construction-phase civil engineering support and coordination for earthwork and site development projects, serving as a technical liaison between contractors, engineers of record, and the development team to facilitate compliant, constructible, and efficient project execution. Requirements

  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, earthwork operations, and field coordination
  • Experience working with permitted projects, including plan revisions, field changes, and regulatory coordination
  • Familiarity with stormwater and drainage systems preferred
  • Willingness, mindset and ability to quickly learn and focus on solutions and creative problem solving
  • Accommodate necessary travel needs between offices and sites
  • Ability to: Manage time effectively; prioritize and handle multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Establish and maintain effective work relationships, interact effectively with others
  • Adapt to changing work priorities, understand and follow direction
  • Overcome internal and external procedural challenges by offering solutions that will lead to overall operational satisfaction
  • Strong PC Skills i.e. Word, Excel, MS Outlook, Virtual Conferencing

  • Authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering oversight of earthwork, grading, excavation, and site/civil infrastructure activities to ensure compliance with approved plans and permits.
  • Review, evaluate, and coordinate field changes, including permit updates, design clarifications, and engineering responses to unforeseen site conditions.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between field teams, office engineers, designers, and subcontractor engineers to develop compliant and practical solutions.
  • Respond to construction-related issues by analyzing constraints, collaborating on solutions, and confirming approvals with engineers of record and internal teams.
  • Coordinate with general contractors, superintendents, development managers, field project managers, inspectors, local officials, and end-user engineers.
  • Verify construction progress and review pay applications for accuracy and compliance with approved quantities and scope.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, environmental, and geotechnical requirements, including stormwater management, soil testing, and site stability considerations.
  • Oversee and mentor junior field staff as needed.
  • Maintain clear documentation of field issues, resolutions, and coordination efforts.
