GFT is seeking a Senior Construction Inspectors to join our Construction Services team in the New Carrollton area! We oversee every construction phase to help ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards . What you’ll be challenged to do: Inspect all phases of construction on highway construction and maintenance projects. The Inspector oversees, monitors and independently inspects routine Railroad, Amtrak and/or WMATA update inspection. Measures, tests, and checks materials, methods, and installations to ensure contractor conformance with plans, specifications, and contract documents. Documents contractor progress on a daily basis, inputs data into automated software systems, and generates reports and correspondence. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Good communication skills Prepare Daily Reports Monitor Quality Control Testing Measure Quantities for payments Monitor Contractor Schedules

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of construction experience
  • High school graduate/GED
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Amtrak and/or WMATA station update inspection a plus
