About The Position

RK&K's Construction Engineering Inspection and Construction Management Division is hiring Senior Construction Inspector to join our team in South Georgia. As a Senior Construction Inspector with RK&K you will strengthen our construction engineering and inspection business while leading complex and routine inspections on projects including: highway, bridge, design/design-build projects.  Essential Functions

Provide construction management support, including inspection, and monitoring of construction ensure compliance with safety regulations
Fully engage in solving complex problems to provide technical evaluation and sound solutions
Monitor the activities of other inspectors
Ability to communicate effectively across different platforms with project management, clients, stakeholders, and contractors
Interface with clients, state and federal agencies, and other engineering disciplines on construction projects
Recordkeeping, materials testing, and reporting as required
Must possess high integrity and ethics in all aspects of dealing with clients, subconsultants, and peers  

Requirements

• Four (4) + years of experience in roadway and structures construction
• GDOT Construction Engineering Inspection Training Group 3 
• GDOT WECS
• GDOT Field Concrete Technician Certification 
• GSWCC Level 1a (Erosion Control) 
• Advanced working knowledge of the principles and practices of civil engineering and construction methods, materials, and equipment
• Working knowledge of GDOT manuals, policies and procedures, include the Construction Manual
• Ability to understand, explain, and administer contracts; and interpret construction plans, provisions, standards, and specifications
• Ability to train, coordinate, and supervise inspection technicians in the field
• Understanding of QA/QC development and execution process
• Travel to job sites is expected, clean driving record
• Experience with MS Office and mobile devices

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with GDOT, especially as Senior Inspector
