The Voleon GroupBerkeley, CA
22h$140,000 - $150,000

About The Position

Voleon is a technology company that applies state-of-the-art AI and machine learning techniques to real-world problems in finance. For nearly two decades, we have led our industry and worked at the frontier of applying AI/ML to investment management. We have become a multibillion-dollar asset manager, and we have ambitious goals for the future. Your colleagues will include internationally recognized experts in artificial intelligence and machine learning research as well as highly experienced finance and technology professionals. The people who shape our company come from other backgrounds, including concert music performances, humanitarian aid, opera singing, sports writing, and BMX racing. You will be part of a team that loves to succeed together. In addition to our enriching and collegial working environment, we offer highly competitive compensation and benefits packages, technology talks by our experts, a beautiful modern office, daily catered lunches, and more. We’re looking for a Senior Compensation Analyst to partner closely with the Compensation Manager in building, operating, and enhancing our compensation programs. In this role, you’ll take ownership of defined compensation processes and analytical workstreams while contributing to broader program improvements. This is an experienced individual contributor role designed for someone who is highly quantitative, analytically rigorous, and comfortable operating with minimal day-to-day oversight in a lean environment. You’ll work extensively in Excel, build and maintain models, and apply structured thinking to solve complex but well-scoped problems. You will support compensation initiatives across base pay, incentives, and equity programs, helping ensure accuracy, consistency, and sound decision-making. You’ll be part of a small, high-impact People team supporting a technically sophisticated and intellectually curious company. We value precision, sound judgment, and strong analytical reasoning, and we’re looking for someone who enjoys going deep into the numbers while strengthening scalable compensation practices.
