We are looking for a Senior Compensation Analyst to join our Rewards & Recognition team. Protiviti works in a hybrid environment, and this role requires that you work in-person in our office several times per week. As a Senior Compensation Analyst, you will be an individual contributor who supports compensation programs and processes for the North American consulting practice in a professional services environment. You will apply advanced technical and analytical skills to base pay, incentive awards, and early career compensation, including salary structure maintenance, salary survey participation, and compensation modeling. You will focus on high-quality execution, analysis, and partnership while operating independently on assigned work, exercising sound judgement, and escalating complex issues and recommendations to compensation leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting salary structures, survey participation, and compensation modeling.
  • Experience with Workday and other compensation administration tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work independently.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
  • A strong, genuine curiosity for leveraging M365, AI tools, and platforms like ChatGPT to enhance productivity and problemsolving.
  • Demonstrated budgeting expertise and solid financial acumen to support datadriven decisions.
  • Handson experience with Payscale/Payfactors, including interpreting market data and applying insights effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation practices and market pricing.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with HR and business partners.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Detail oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and risk awareness.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Human Resources, Finance, Economics, Business, Analytics) or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in compensation, total rewards, or related analytical roles, preferably in a professional services or matrixed organization.

  • CCP certification or progress toward certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support base pay, incentive award, and early career compensation programs using advanced compensation knowledge.
  • Execute compensation activities in alignment with established policies, guidelines, and methodologies.
  • Respond to compensation inquiries from HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition; escalate complex issues as appropriate.
  • Maintain and update salary structures for the North American practice, including range administration and midpoint analysis.
  • Conduct job pricing analyses using survey data and internal benchmarks, document assumptions and outcomes.
  • Support internal equity reviews and accurate implementation of structure updates.
  • Support end-to-end salary survey participation, including job matching, data validation, and submission preparation.
  • Analyze survey results to identify market trends and support pricing recommendations.
  • Conduct ongoing compensation research and benchmarking against peer organizations.
  • Build and maintain compensation models for pay adjustments, promotions, and annual bonus processes.
  • Perform scenario modeling and data validation to support forecasts and decision-making.
  • Prepare clear analyses and summaries that translate data into actionable insights.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition to support hiring and internal movement decisions.
  • Collaborate with Finance and HR Operations to support budgeting, reporting, and data accuracy.
  • Communicate findings clearly and professionally, adapting messaging to the audience.
  • Manage assigned tasks across multiple compensation projects, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Apply Protiviti methodologies and risk awareness to ensure accurate, complete deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities to improve tools, templates, and processes and support implementation.
