The Senior Community Association supports the financial operations of multiple associations by preparing and reviewing financials, processing assessments and payables, and ensuring accuracy and compliance. This role also helps train team members, supports process improvements, and may supervise staff when leadership is unavailable.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree preferred or equivalent education/experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of Community Association Accounting experience required.
  • Experience preparing financial statements; strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Multi-company accounting and prior supervisory experience required.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets, payroll systems, and 10-key.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with Boards, Owners, Vendors, and coworkers.
  • Ability to multitask and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Florida CAM license required within one year of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Great Plains experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements for multiple associations.
  • Process assessments, vendor invoices, check runs, fund transfers, and miscellaneous payments.
  • Review vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or disputes.
  • Assist with annual operating and reserve budget preparation.
  • Prepare and review reserve and contingency schedules.
  • Oversee assessment billing processes and ensure adherence to collection policies.
  • Support onboarding of new association properties into the accounting system.
  • Maintain and organize special project files and spreadsheets.
  • Attend Board meetings, Annual Owners Meetings, and staff events as needed.
  • Train and support accounting clerks; fill in during absences.
  • May supervise one employee and oversee accounting operations when Director/Manager is unavailable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
