About The Position

GE HealthCare is seeking a senior internal communications leader to drive leadership engagement communications across the enterprise. This role supports communications for senior leaders, people leaders, and GE HealthCare’s business system, Heartbeat, helping leaders understand priorities, align teams, and drive execution. Reporting to the Head of Colleague Communications, this role is responsible for planning and delivering leadership communications, including support for senior leadership and people leader meetings, leadership-focused content, and enterprise communications campaigns. The role partners closely with senior stakeholders and communicators across the company to translate business strategy, operating priorities, and transformation efforts into clear, actionable communications. A key focus of this role is supporting communications for Heartbeat, GE HealthCare’s proprietary business system and standard way of working. This includes helping drive understanding of how Heartbeat connects strategy to daily execution and reinforcing consistent behaviors and practices across the organization. This is a high-visibility role for a motivated, detail-oriented communicator with strong executive presence and excellent writing skills. Success requires sound judgment, the ability to manage complex communications with precision, and a collaborative, can-do mindset. Creativity and innovation are encouraged. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing or related field.
  • 6+ years minimum communications experience covering strategic communications, with a strong focus on internal communications; ideal candidate will have 8+ years
  • Experience supporting executive or senior leadership communications.
  • Strong executive presence; experience working across multiple levels, functions and regions in matrixed, global organization; highly collaborative mindset and strong sense of ownership.
  • Able to manage multifaceted projects and deliverables autonomously with an eye for detail, quality and deadlines; must be able to work well on multiple tasks within the same timeframe, sometimes with conflicting deadlines and under pressure.
  • Experience planning and supporting large-scale in-person and virtual events.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing annual communications plans and engagement calendars for sizeable teams and projects; able to gather and incorporate multiple viewpoints and priorities and establish a go-forward communications strategy.
  • Ability to understand business challenges and priorities and use communications expertise to recommend best practices and inform decision making; serve as communications expert with clients.
  • Ability to communicate complex information in an easy-to-understand and compelling manner, both written and verbally, and influence colleagues to act when necessary.
  • Possess strong foundational skills, including written communication, storytelling, grammar, presentation and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic communications planning for GE HealthCare’s most senior leaders, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and priorities.
  • Advise senior stakeholders on messaging, sequencing, and engagement approaches for executive audiences.
  • Plan and support in-person and virtual senior leadership meetings, including agenda development, content coordination, and logistical execution.
  • Own communications to people leaders, including sourcing, shaping, and editing content for a biweekly people leader newsletter.
  • Lead planning and execution of quarterly people leader town halls, including agenda development, content flow, and coordination with partners.
  • Manage and evolve the people leader intranet presence to ensure content is timely, relevant, and easy to navigate.
  • Collaborate closely with other communicators and business partners to ensure consistent, integrated messaging across channels.
  • Support communications for GE HealthCare’s Heartbeat business system and the Office of Heartbeat.
  • Translate enterprise strategy, Lean principles, and operating priorities into clear, actionable communications for leaders and teams.
  • Partner with stakeholders to support rollout, adoption, and sustained engagement for a multi-year enterprise transformation.
  • Develop communications approaches that reinforce Heartbeat as GE HealthCare’s standard way of working and connect strategy to daily execution.
  • Serve as a strategic internal communications partner, building strong, productive relationships with business leaders and stakeholders.
  • Lead internal communications campaigns that drive awareness, understanding, and engagement.
  • Apply sound judgment and independent thinking to manage complex communications needs and competing priorities.
  • Execute with a high level of precision, professionalism, and accountability in a fast-paced environment.
